There's a bittersweet sensation to revisiting a place that has been a source of joy throughout your life for the last time. There are moments of bliss as you recall your favorite memories, intertwined with the realization that what once was will never be the same again. This is the essence of growing up and moving on. I've discovered that there are two ways to approach reminiscing: one with sadness and longing for the past, and the other with gratitude and appreciation for the time spent, while acknowledging that things may change in the future. As we evolve and mature, we see our past through different lenses, enriched by new knowledge and experiences. No one can predict what their farewell will feel like until they experience it firsthand, but taking that first step to see for yourself is essential. "Rope Swing" is my love letter to the places dear to my heart and an exploration of the emotions that arise when bidding them farewell, with the uncertainty of when, or if, you'll return.
